Towards Emerging Hydrogen Economy

Axens has extensive experience in the Hydrogenation and DeHydrogenation of organic molecules, which positions the company to offer industrial-scale technologies for Hydrogen transportation, Liquid Organic Hydrogen Carrier (LOHC). The LOHC technology provides a safe and straightforward approach to Hydrogen storage and transportation. It also enables the repurposing of existing assets from the Oil and Gas industry and the establishment of a cost-efficient Hydrogen supply chain in a timely manner. 

Axens has joined the collective objective of drastically reducing greenhouse gas emissions by promoting the use of hydrogen as an energy vector. As the majority of Hydrogen is currently produced through steam methane reforming (SMR), Axens is proposing its CO2 Capture Technologies to facilitate the immediate reduction of CO2 emissions from existing production assets.

Regarding Hydrogen quality, Axens been dealing with Hydrogen since decades with its technologies in Refining and Petrochemicals. Thus, Axens proposes (H2) Hydrogen ultra purification regardless of its origin (SMR, electrolyser, native or underground storage) to reach any purity level depending on its final usage (industry, heating or mobility for example).
