After 15 years of development of this innovative technology at IFPEN from proof of concept through to the laboratory, we’re proud to have demonstrated the performance of the DMX™ process for an industrial gas flow. It’s all thanks to intensive teamwork, conducted with our partners since the launch of the 3D project back in May 2019. And it represents an important step towards the decarbonization of industry in France and around the world.
The transition to a low carbon world requires immediate, large-scale action, while meeting the constraints of the sectors the most difficult to decarbonize, such as industry and heavy mobility. The BioTJet project provides an immediate response to decarbonization challenges in the aviation sector as it can replace fossil fuels without having to significantly modify existing infrastructures and engine systems.
JEPLAN’s KHP demonstration plant was completed in 2017. To make this "bottle-to-bottle" and "clothes-to-clothes" PET chemical recycle technology useful to society, we needed to further expand the scale of our business, which required us to collaborate with partners. We are very happy to have met such encouraging partners as IFPEN and Axens, and to have been able to start this demonstration of Rewind® PET thanks to the responsiveness of each company.
