Macro and micropollutants encompass a large array of contaminants with different impacts on the environment (sediments accumulation, algae proliferation, increase turbidity, toxicity, higher oxygen consumption, etc). These pollutants and contaminants need to be treated accordingly to reach environmental discharge limits or reuse/recycling specifications in municipal and industrial applications for instance.

ActiGuard® AA400G
AA400G has been developed in order to remove several contaminants in one-step, in particular arsenic and fluoride with high fluoride adsorption capacity ranging from 1 to 20mg/g depending on water chemistry.
Simple regeneration of AA400G is also possible making it the industrial standard for fluoride removal.
ActiGuard® AAFS50
Axens developed ActiGuard® AAFS50 to enhance arsenic adsorption capacity versus unprompted activated alumina. The three times greater adsorption capacity extends service life and allows cost effective single use.
ActiGuard® AAFS50 is the practical solution for phosphates removal. It is also used for multiple contaminant removal like fluoride, silica, zinc, copper, lead, and selenium in specific applications.
ActiGuard® R
Arsenic & metals removal from non-potable water.
It is intended for remediation applications including groundwater site clean ups, industrial effluent, and storm water runoff where metals and nutrients are issues.
ActiGuard® F
Neutralized activated alumina, typically applied for non-regenerating fluoride removal, or applications requiring neutral effluent pH.
ActiGuard® 320
Fluoride removal for municipal or water bottling facility. Regenerable or single use for cost-effective treatment of various water sources.
HydroThane Sustainable Water Treatment Processes
Axens acquired HydroThane Holding BV end of 2022. There are currently up to 170 references in the design, engineering and construction of biological wastewater treatment plants for industrial applications and biogas treatment applications.
Extensive research and operational experience has given HydroThane a prominent position in the biological treatment of industrial wastewater including aerobic and anaerobic digestion as well as biogas treatment technologies, especially desulphurization processes. Through innovative solutions and continuous improvement of its technologies, HydroThane delivers for each project economical, technical and technological solutions with close cooperation with its clients and partners.
