Through DoMInno, our internal incubator program, employees can pitch ideas, vote on the projects they want to make a reality, and receive the support needed to bring them to life. Our bi-annual Innovation Awards also encourage our employees to celebrate the innovations, both technical and non-technical, that contribute to our success and that of our clients.

Axens uses the energy transition and decarbonization as a point of departure to empower our teams, supporting initiatives that raise awareness and help employees be part of the change.

The Climate Advisory Board

The Axens Group has created a Climate Advisory Board, a new organ of governance that advises the Executive Committee on the Group’s climate strategy. This board includes 15 employees from across the company to ensure their voice is heard.

Climate Fresk Workshops

In partnership with the French non-profit Climate Fresk, nearly 50 employees have been voluntarily trained to facilitate workshops for close to 700 of their colleagues. These dynamic workshops raise awareness about the scope and complexity of climate change and help to find solutions to its challenges, including concrete solutions for Axens.

A Wealth of Resources for Sustainability Training

A continually growing online platform of courses is available via the Axens Academy to raise the awareness of all our employees. These include the Axens Climate School as well as small, private courses developed specifically for our company on energy transition and subjects such as renewable energy production.

From “Ideas Events” to Real Actions

Opportunities to come up with new ideas and translate them into concrete actions are the goal of events such as Millennials Day. This daylong event gives our young employees the floor to think outside the box and put forward their ideas for the company and its future, especially in terms of the challenges of energy transition and Axens’ climate strategy.

This ambition drives Axens innovation, both in technology, and in company culture. Energy transition is also a mindset. Axens’ “fresque du climat” (Climate Fresk) is a first mark of our desire to be an actor of change, of our commitment to innovation to respond to the environmental concerns of our customers.

After 10 years in IFPEN, I had been wanting to join Axens due to its excellent reputation, I achieved this by transitioning to a specialization that I am passionate about: innovation and digitalization. My team is configuring energy consumption applications for each plant and monitor digitally utility usage to identify opportunities for reduction. The most remarkable initiatives involve integrating this data to improve production performance.
