Successful operation of Axens’ units and digitalization at the ERC refinery
All Axens’ units of the Egyptian Refining Company (ERC) refinery project are now successfully operating and reaching full production and performances. The refinery produces Euro 5 refined products, including diesel and jet fuel, for Egyptian local market by processing annually 4.7 million tons of mainly atmospheric residue from the Cairo Oil Refinery Company.

Axens’ recent Successes in Hydrocracking
Hydrocracking is one of the major processes in refining converting, in presence of hydrogen, low-value heavy feedstock into high value clean fuels and saturated naphtha. It contributes greatly to the refinery cash flow and flexibility through the cycles and it is becoming an instrumental process for naphtha production as a premium feedstock for crude to petrochemical complexes.

Axens’ Connect’In Services selected by Marathon Petroleum Corporation in the United States
Marathon Petroleum Corporation (MPC) has implemented Axens’ Connect’InTM services for real-time process monitoring and optimization of multiple Continuous Catalytic Regenerative (CCR) Reformers and multiple Prime-G+ FCC gasoline post-treatment units across their refining network. MPC was an early-adopter of the Connect’InTM platform, and the two organizations have since collaborated to improve unit performance and utilized the tool’s cloud-based, simple web interface to improve decision making and technical service support.
