NGL & Condensates
Natural gas processing plants produce Gas Liquids (C₂+) referred to as Natural Gas Liquids (NGLs) that require treatment before being sold. NGLs can either be fractionated or sent to the refinery for further processing. Fractionation, which is the most frequent route, leads to the production of ethane, LPG and naphtha. Ethane and naphtha are destined mainly for the petrochemical sector while LPG is for residential consumption.
Field condensates are stable liquids (C₅+) that require special treatment in conventional refineries or distillation in dedicated condensate splitters.
For both NGLs and field condensates Axens provides technologies along with adsorbents and catalysts to produce purified streams that meet specifications for further processing or marketing.

NGL & Condensates Sweetening
Natural Gasoline, NGL and Condensates are particularly valuable as commercial products and for petrochemical applications. Sulfur compound impurities in these liquids are mainly mercaptans (RSH), hydrogen sulfide (H2S) and carbonyl sulfide (COS).
DiscoverMercury Removal Adsorbents
Mercury removal from hydrocarbons is crucial due to HSE-related issues, corrosion problems and downstream catalyst poisoning. It is a challenge commonly faced in natural gas processing plants, oil refineries, petrochemical industry and power plants.
DiscoverDrying Series Adsorbents
Water removal applications are widely encountered in the industry sector. Activated alumina and molecular sieves stand at the forefront of the several different materials available on the market.
