Axens tapped for 3 new Vegan® licenses by Galp, LOKEN and SAFCO Ventures, for SAF and Renewable Diesel Production
Leading energy players Galp, a major Portuguese multinational energy corporation, LOKEN, a Malaysian energy player developing one of the first renewable complex in South-East Asia, as well as SAFCO Venture Holdings Limited (SAFCO Ventures), have selected Axens’ Vegan® offering. These three companies will implement Axens’ Vegan® solution for their respective Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil and Sustainable Aviation Fuel (HVO/SAF) production facilities located in Portugal, Malaysia and Pakistan, in order to accelerate the reduction of their global carbon footprint and the shift from conventional to renewable fuel technologies.
Axens in Exclusive Negotiations to Acquire Land in Saint-Saulve (59) for the Construction of Its Cathode Active Materials (CAM) Production Plant
Following announcements made in May 2024 at the Choose France Summit, Axens is moving forward with its project to establish a cathode active materials production plant for electric vehicle batteries, marking a significant step toward its future site in the Hauts-de-France region. Today, the company has announced it is in exclusive negotiations with the Valenciennes Métropole Urban Community (CAVM) to acquire land on the former Vallourec industrial site in Saint-Saulve, in France’s Nord department.
During the official visit of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to France, JSC NC “KazMunayGaz” (KMG) and the international company Axens concluded a collaboration agreement. The agreement was signed by the head of KMG Askhat Khassenov and the CEO of Axens, Quentin Debuisschert. The agreement aims to extend the historical partnership between the two parties. The companies are going to work together to study the feasibility sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) production in Kazakhstan based on Axens technologies.
Axens, IFPEN and JEPLAN announce the launch of the commercialization by Axens of the Rewind® PET chemical recycling process
In line with the announcement made at the inauguration of a semi-industrial demonstration unit at Kitakyushu in Japan in October 2023, Axens, IFPEN and JEPLAN, partners in the project, are glad to announce the launch of the commercialization (licensing) by Axens of the Rewind®PET process. This is a major step forward for the three partners, concluding a successful one-year test period within the demonstration unit, and will enable a further acceleration of the energy transition and the circular economy of plastics, which are at the heart of Axens' and IFPEN's strategy. Axens teams will now be able to market a complete Rewind®PET license package to their customers all over of the world.
